AMMO ATOM COLOR Blue Gray is a water-thinnable acrylic modeling paint in a 20 ml bottle — a medium-saturated blue-gray which the manufacturer states as FS 35237. It is not a kit but a paint for brush and airbrush.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a modeling paint, not a kit. The package contains one 20 ml bottle of the shade Blue Gray from the ATOM COLOR range from AMMO of Mig Jimenez. ATOM is a water-thinnable acrylic of a newer generation that behaves like a lacquer: fine pigment, high covering power, self-leveling and quick drying to a smooth matte surface. The dried layer stands up to masking, decals and enamel or oil weathering.
The shade is a medium-saturated blue-gray — it has a distinct blue cast, but it is still a gray, not a blue. The manufacturer states it as FS 35237, a gray-blue known above all from modern low-visibility schemes on jet aircraft. Compared with the other grays in the range it sits in the middle: it is noticeably darker and bluer than the pale Pale Grey, but lighter and bluer than the British Ocean Grey.
For modelers of modern aircraft and naval subjects who need a reliable blue-gray with good coverage. An important note: this is not the early Blue Gray shade of US Navy carrier aircraft from the beginning of the Second World War — that is a different, darker shade. If you are building an early Pacific machine, check the color in the instructions of your subject and do not rely on the names matching.
A water-thinnable acrylic, odorless. Ventilate and use a respirator when spraying with an airbrush: do not inhale the atomized paint. Keep out of the reach of children, protect from frost and close the bottle carefully after use.
