RLM 70 Schwarzgrün is a dark, almost black green from the German RLM aircraft standard. It appears on the upper surfaces of German aircraft of the Second World War, where it is combined with a lighter green, and it is also found on propeller blades. Because it is a very dark tone, it easily swallows fine surface detail on a model. It is therefore worth working with it in thin coats and lifting the surface later, so that the model does not read as one flat silhouette.
Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, and use the thinner intended for this line. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before work so that the pigment settled at the bottom is distributed through the whole volume. Apply it in several thin coats and let each one dry before you lay down the next; a single heavy coat floods the engraving and the shade takes on an uneven sheen.
Wash and degrease the model before painting, otherwise the paint will blotch on greasy spots. Under a dark green it is good to lay a uniform base coat so that the shade reads the same on plastic, filler and metal accessories. Plan the boundary between the camouflage fields in advance and lay the masks before you spray. After work wipe the rim of the bottle and close it carefully, otherwise the cap will dry shut in time.
The thinner, brushes, airbrush and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
