A combined package of the three smallest diameters, from five to seven tenths of a millimeter. Hex heads on a wide washer, graded in steps of one tenth.
Responsibility details are not available.
This package covers the lower end of the range offered: five, six and seven tenths of a millimeter measured across the flats of the hex. Between the extreme members there is a difference of two tenths, which at first glance sounds like nothing, yet in fact it means that the largest of the trio has almost twice the face of the smallest when seen from above. It is precisely this asymmetry of the figures that a modeler appreciates once the parts are in hand.
The point of a combined package is experimental. Before you decide what belongs in a given place, you lay all three side by side and compare them with their surroundings. The choice is then made by eye, not from a table, and with scale models that is the more reliable approach. The remaining two diameters will also not lie idle, because more small anchoring points are always to be found on one model.
We recommend sorting the parts right after opening, because a difference of a tenth of a millimeter is hard to tell in a single dish and a mix-up is revealed only on the model. The surest way is to lay them out in three wells and label them. Anyone who works with tweezers over an empty bench will also spare themselves an hour of searching on the floor. Before gluing, check once more that you have reached into the right well, because an exchange afterward already means prising off a set joint together with a piece of paint.
