Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model and not an accessory for a model but a printed publication. The Warpaint series is monographic: each volume deals with one aviation type and follows it from its origin through the production versions to its operational use. This volume takes on the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, and the author is Kev Darling, whose name appears on further volumes in the series as well.
The B-17 was an American four-engine bomber with radial engines, created in the middle of the 1930s, which went through a whole series of production versions in the course of the Second World War. Characteristic of it are the tall, slender tail surface, the extensive glazing of the nose and the dense network of defensive gun positions that gave the type its nickname. The later versions differ from the early ones in, among other things, the added chin turret under the nose and the reworked tail. It is precisely the differences between the versions that are the most valuable part of any monograph for a modeler, because they decide which kit and which accessories belong to a given machine.
This is a book publication, not a kit. Please check the exact extent, the edition and the language version before ordering.
