The kit captures the Russian battleship Tsesarevich as she was in 1917, in 1:350 scale. The model from the Trumpeter brand comes as a full-hull version in injection-molded plastic with photo-etched parts, a stand with a nameplate and decals. The deck has a finely engraved wooden structure and the superstructure brings rich detail.
Tsesarevich was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Imperial Russian navy of the early 20th century. She was marked out by her armor protection and by a main gun armament in two twin turrets, supplemented by a middle battery. The ship went through the Russo-Japanese War as well as the First World War; the 1917 form reflects her later appearance and outfit.
The two-part hull can be built as a whole. We recommend removing the flash from the joints, gluing with a thin cement for plastic and fixing the photo-etched parts (railings, ladders) with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and spray with an airbrush; the deck wood comes out well once a wash has been laid into the recesses. The model is well suited to being displayed on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
