A brass angle in the shape of the letter L with legs of 4 x 4 mm from the production of Albion Alloys, a package of one piece. It is not a kit but material for building. Legs of four millimeters already make the profile a load-bearing element: it carries its own weight and the load of a structure, so it suits places where an angle is really meant to hold and not merely to suggest an edge.
Divide the profile with a fine modeling saw; with this cross section it pays to clamp the part, so that the cut stays square, and then level the surfaces with a file. Cut corner joints in a miter box. A thicker profile carries more heat away during soldering, so reckon with a more powerful iron and with well cleaned surfaces and flux. A glued joint holds reliably only on a roughened and degreased surface, and best with two-part epoxy. Apply a primer for metal before painting, otherwise the paint will soon come off the edges.
For builders of large dioramas, layout modules and structures in larger scales, for modelers working on constructions of their own and for anyone who needs a metal profile that truly carries a load.
The material is supplied unpainted. Glue, solder and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
