A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the Brun Terre IR shade from the group of French military finishes.
Responsibility details are not available.
Brun Terre IR is an earthy brown, that is one of the components of French military camouflage, in which it goes together with a green and a sand. The French designation of the finish is taken into the name in its original form, so it is easy to find the shade from documentation on the real subject. The abbreviation IR belongs to the designation of the original military finish; the modeling paint takes the shade from it.
It is used on models of modern French ground vehicles and wherever a muted brown with no red cast suits. The same range holds the other French shades as well, so the whole camouflage can be put together from one range and there is no need to hunt for substitutes from other brands. It can also be used outside French vehicles, for example on earthy dirt on running gear or on wooden boxes and tools in a vehicle's equipment.
Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when standing. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; mixing with thinners from other ranges does not pay off. Spray in thin coats and let them set between passes, as one heavy coat floods the detail and dries less well. Always test the shade on a piece of scrap plastic first, because it looks different over a light base and over a dark one.
The thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
