A Hataka modeling paint from the Orange Line range, the beige camouflage shade Camouflage Beige carried under the number 389 in the British reference BS 381C.
Responsibility details are not available.
Camouflage Beige is a light beige tone to which the British reference BS 381C assigns the number 389. The reference describes shades by number, and that matters to a modeler: a paint can be looked up and repeated years later, instead of having to make do with a verbal approximation such as sand or light brown. On a model the tone is subdued and it takes the neighborhood of brown and olive areas well, which is what it usually meets on camouflaged machines.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, the pigment sinks to the bottom. The thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; keep to those instructions. Apply the paint in several thin coats and let each one dry. A single heavy coat floods the fine surface detail and with light beige tones it moreover streaks easily. It is a good idea to wash, degrease and prime the substrate before painting, especially on metal and resin parts.
It suits modelers who build to a reference and want the shade backed by a number rather than by a guess from a photograph. It comes into its own on large camouflage areas and on small equipment and fittings.
Thinner, brushes and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The volume of the package is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
