This set from Voyager Model is a brass photo-etched detail set for a model of the Chinese WZ505 infantry fighting vehicle (People's Liberation Army, PLA) in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts replace and add to the plastic items with finer metal ones, such as grilles, fenders, brackets and small detail. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory for a base model, specifically for the Trumpeter 05557 kit.
The WZ505 is a Chinese tracked infantry fighting vehicle from a family derived from the license-built development of the BMP series. It is fully amphibious, with an armored hull and a turret with an automatic cannon. It serves with the Chinese ground forces to carry and support infantry.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife, make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or with two-part epoxy. Degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal surfaces; it is best to spray the paint with an airbrush so that the fine detail does not get flooded. Fill the gap between the photo-etched part and the plastic with filler.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
