A sheet of universal circular masking discs with diameters from 2.0 to 2.9 mm. They serve to cover small round areas during spraying, whatever the scale of the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A circle is hard to cut from tape, and a hand-cut round is always a little egg-shaped. That is exactly why it pays to have precisely die-cut discs. They come in handy anywhere a circular area, or on the contrary a circular blob, has to stay: lights and reflectors, wheel hubs, vision ports, small covers, instruments on a dashboard, round elements of markings or of a mottled camouflage. The range from 2.0 to 2.9 mm covers exactly the smallest circles, the ones that are hardest to cut by hand.
The set is universal and is therefore not tied to one kit or to one scale. It contains circular masks in the stated range of diameters. How many pieces there are of each size and how they are laid out on the sheet are given on the manufacturer's packaging. It also serves well as a supplement to masks cut for a particular kit that lack round elements.
A mask is stuck on before spraying, not after it. First get the dust and grease off the surface, or the edge will not grip. Lift the disc with the tip of a knife or with tweezers, put it in place and press it down all round with a toothpick; paint creeps in precisely under an edge that has not been pressed down. Spray several thin coats instead of one heavy one and peel the mask off once the paint has dried, so that it does not pull the edge of the coat away with it. On a curved surface press the disc down from the center toward the edges.
For modelers who spray small round details and do not want to cut them out by hand. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
