A plastic kit model of the German battlecruiser SMS Seydlitz in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss. It is an extensive kit with a large number of parts, a split hull and photo-etched elements for the fine details. The package holds injection-molded plastic parts, decals and instructions for assembling one model and tends to be filled out with a base for display as well.
SMS Seydlitz was a battlecruiser of the Imperial German Navy put into service in 1913. It belonged to the High Seas Fleet and became famous above all in the Battle of Jutland (1916), which it managed to survive despite heavy damage and to return to port. It was a typical representative of the fast, heavily armed German battlecruisers of the First World War.
We recommend working with a thin glue for plastic and trying the fit of the two-part hull before gluing. Glue the photo-etched railings and the fine parts with super glue. Paint the hull and the superstructures in the period German naval grays and bring the panel lines and the details out with a gentle wash. The model stands out well on the supplied stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
