Oriental Green is a deeper green tone from the Cobra Motor line, which AMMO of Mig Jimenez put together specifically for car modelers. The shades in it carry the names of finishes, teams and makers, so the line is more of a color chart than a numbered table.
With deeper greens the base plays a large part. Over a light base coat the shade comes out brighter and cooler, over a gray or black one it sinks into a darker, almost bottle-green tone. Before you start on a body, it pays to try the shade on a piece of sprue with the same build-up of coats you plan on the model.
Darker greens forgive fewer mistakes in surface preparation, because scratches and fingerprints stand out in them. So sand the body with fine paper, degrease it and build the color up step by step to keep control of the smoothness. Check the thinning and the suitable thinner against the manufacturer's data on the label.
For car and motorcycle modelers who want a green with depth, not a light pastel tone. It also works well as a darker counterpart to the brighter greens of the same line.
