Paint Forge Curve 2 Stencils M — a universal masking stencil

Curve 2 Stencils is a universal stencil with curved cutouts, and Paint Forge lists it as the second variant of the arc pattern alongside the basic Curve range. You lay the sheet on an already painted surface and apply paint through the cutout. It is not a mask cut for a particular kit but a reusable aid for curves — the dividing lines of camouflage, rounded stripes and the rims of panels.

The letter M in the name marks the smaller of the pair of sheets that the brand offers for this pattern; the larger sheet carries the letter L in its name. The smaller format adapts better to small and curved parts, where a large sheet does not sit flat.

How the stencil is used

• Let the base coat dry out completely, and only then mask.
• Press the edge of the cutout down along its whole length, so that no paint seeps under the edge.
• You get a sharp edge from a perpendicular pass of several thin coats.
• A soft transition appears when you lift the sheet slightly and spray from a greater distance.
• Lift the stencil off while damp and clean it at once.
