Academy Da Vinci Machines Spingarde is a plastic kit of the mechanical light gun from Leonardo da Vinci's drawing.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from Academy, part of the Da Vinci Machines range, represents a light gun, the so-called spingarde, designed after the ideas of Leonardo da Vinci. It is not a scale model of a particular weapon but a working mechanical and educational model that brings a period firearm construction closer. The model is usually assembled without glue or with a minimum of gluing.
The spingarde was a light firearm on a swiveling mount, used in the late Middle Ages and the early modern period. In his drawings Leonardo da Vinci devoted himself repeatedly to refining artillery and firearms. The model brings his engineering thinking closer, along with the construction of a period light gun on a movable carriage.
Follow the instructions exactly: the movable mount and the mechanical parts have to engage correctly. Take care over the free running of the swiveling parts. The model can be left in the natural appearance of wood and metal or finished with paints for a more realistic effect.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
