Working street lighting from the Just Plug system by the manufacturer Woodland Scenics, in the form of a post with two lights in HO scale. It is not a kit and not a dummy: the lamps have a built-in LED and a lead terminated with a plug, so once installed into the scenery they really light up. The double version belongs where one lamp would not be enough: on wider avenues, squares, at main entrances and in front of prestigious buildings.
Double lamps have a hierarchical meaning within a scene: use them on a main thoroughfare and leave the single lamps for the side streets. That creates a legible structure of the town on a layout, even when only the lighting can be seen at night. Drill a hole in the base matching the diameter of the lead, set the post upright and run the leads under the board, marking them as you go. Finish the installation before you apply grass and scenic materials to the area. Deal with the connection and the power supply according to the instructions for the hub of the system; neither the hub nor the power supply is included in this package, unless stated otherwise.
For builders of layouts and dioramas in HO scale who are building an urban scene and want to light it without electrical knowledge, and for everyone who wants to build night or evening scenery around light.
Connect the lights only to a power supply recommended by the manufacturer of the system. Handle the leads carefully, as they are thin and mechanically delicate.
