Mineshima Drill Bit 0.2 mm L10-02 is a single modeling drill bit of 0.2 mm diameter for drilling small holes into plastic and resin by hand. It belongs among the finest diameters used in building models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single drill bit of 0.2 mm diameter from the modeling tool range of the Japanese brand Mineshima. It is sold on its own, so you add exactly the size you need, and with the finest diameters that comes in especially handy, because they wear and break first. Two tenths of a millimeter is a tool for detail, not for coarse work: the L10 series is graded in tenths of a millimeter, so you hit the size you need exactly.
A drill bit of this diameter breaks above all through sideways leverage, not through pressure into the depth. Drill by hand, therefore, square to the surface and without tilting, preferably in several steps, so that the chips have time to clear. On smooth plastic and resin it helps to mark the spot with a point first, so that the bit does not slip. A hole for wire is better started with a smaller diameter and only then tuned, because it can always be enlarged and never reduced.
For modelers who do fine detail work: finishing cockpits, wiring engines, superdetailing aircraft, vehicles and figures. The drill bit alone is not enough for the work; you need a pin vise or a micro drill with a matching collet to go with it.
