2.1 mm drill bit (Mineshima)

A separate steel modeling drill bit of 2.1 mm diameter from the Japanese maker Mineshima. It offers a fine intermediate diameter that comes in useful when a 2.0 mm hole is tight and 2.5 mm is already too large. The cylindrical shank is held in a hand drill holder for sensitive drilling by hand into plastic, resin and soft metal.

  • Tuning the diameter of a hole precisely for a tight fit of a pin or an axle.
  • Widening a 2.0 mm hole by a fine clearance.
