A paint from the DRYBRUSH line in a panzer gray shade (the Spanish word gris means gray). It is a water based acrylic with a deliberately thick, creamy consistency and strong pigmentation, exactly what the drybrushing technique needs. A thin paint would run off an almost dry brush into the recesses; this one stays on the bristles. A 40 ml package, and the jar has a wide neck. It is thinned and cleaned up with water, has no odor and, once dry, is not attacked by enamel or oil washes according to the manufacturer. It is not a kit but a modeling paint.
You pick really very little paint up on the brush, wipe the excess off on paper and then pass the brush lightly over the raised edges and details. The paint catches only on what stands out from the surface: on the edges of armor, on rivets, hatches, grab handles and on the texture of castings. That brings out the texture and the volume and the model stops looking flat. The key condition: a shade for drybrushing has to be lighter than the base color. That is why tones tuned this way are sold; they are lightened versions of common base colors.
For builders of military vehicles, German ones of the first half of the war above all, and for anyone who needs to pick detail out quickly on a dark gray model. The technique is undemanding, so even a beginner can handle the paint.
A water based acrylic paint. Work in a ventilated space and protect your airways if you do spray it. Keep out of the reach of children.
