A detail set from the SPACE range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the Gloster Meteor F.8 kit in 1:32 scale from Revell. SPACE combines three-dimensional 3D decals with color-printed instrument panels and steel photo-etched parts including the seat harness. The result is a three-dimensional, realistic cockpit with no need for laborious hand painting of the dials. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter used in the Second World War. The F.8 version became the main postwar fighter variant, with a lengthened fuselage and a new vertical tail, and served in a number of countries into the 1950s.
The 3D decals are not dipped in water: only the backing paper under the element is moistened, the decal is lifted off with tweezers and set into a small drop of white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue for them, and a decal softener and a setting solution do not belong on them. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
This is an accessory set (3D decals and photo-etched parts), not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
