A 3D printed detail accessory from Eduard in 1:32 scale. This set of accurately printed main landing gear legs for the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter replaces the plastic parts from the kit and adds finer detail and a more faithful shape. Please note that it is an accessory, not a model on its own: to use it you need the base Fw 190 plastic kit from Revell in 1:32 scale.
On an aircraft model the landing gear legs are among the parts most exposed to view. The 3D printed form offers a sharper rendering of the hydraulic struts, the wiring and the details of the locks than injection-molded plastic, with no parting seams and with faithful geometry. The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Wuerger was one of the most successful German fighters of the Second World War; its characteristically wide landing gear track was one of the machine's strengths and is worth bringing out with quality parts.
Separate the 3D printed parts carefully from the supports with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the cut faces back. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with cement for plastic. Before painting, wash the parts, spray a primer over them and lay the paint down with an airbrush in thin coats; protect your airways when sanding the resin material.
The accessory requires the matching base kit, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not part of the delivery either.
