This resin figure from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures shows a young African fighter in 1:35 scale. It belongs to a series of figures of African rebels and suits the depiction of irregular armed units in dioramas and scenes. The figure is in light period clothing and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The figure captures factually a young member of an irregular unit, as can be seen in period photographs from the African conflicts. Together with other figures of the same series it makes it possible to put together a believable scene with infantry and vehicles.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your breathing protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For skin and cloth, acrylics with oil paints added for soft transitions prove themselves; a fine wash will bring out the folds of the clothing and the detail of the face.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.
