Magnet Standard Density – universal cyanoacrylate glue (AK Interactive)

Magnet Standard Density is a cyanoacrylate glue (CA, super glue) from the manufacturer AK Interactive. Mind the name: Magnet is the trade name of the whole glue range – there are no magnets or magnetic parts involved. This is a modeling supply, a chemical product, not a kit and not a model. Standard Density means standard, medium density – the most universal consistency there is: the glue is neither so thin that it escapes from the joint nor so thick that it is hard to dispense. The manufacturer describes it as an exceptionally tough glue that forms a firm bond within a few seconds.

Use

• Universal gluing across materials – resin, 3D prints, photo-etched parts, metal and plastic accessories.
• Small parts with a small mating surface, where a firm bond has to be reached quickly.
• Ordinary, well-fitting joints, where you do not have to fill a gap or let the glue flow in by capillary action.
• Gluing parts on which ordinary cement for plastic does not work.
• Apply it sparingly – excess glue does not strengthen the joint, it only floods the detail and will have to be sanded away.

Difference from the High Density version

Both glues are from the same range and differ in density (viscosity). Standard Density is medium and universal – the default glue for the workshop when the joint fits well. High Density is noticeably thicker and is intended for joints with a gap, uneven and porous surfaces or gluing on a vertical face, where a more fluid glue would run off.

For modelers who want one reliable cyanoacrylate glue for most of their work – from accessory sets and photo-etched parts through resin and 3D printed parts to small repairs.

Safety: cyanoacrylate bonds skin and fingers instantly. Work in a well-ventilated room, protect your eyes and skin (the fumes irritate the mucous membranes and eyes) and wear gloves. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use force if skin is bonded, and seek medical help if it gets into the eyes. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety data sheet.
