HEKI Grass Strips, Spring 5 to 6 mm, 10 pcs

Ten grass strips from the German maker HEKI, one hundred millimeters long, with growth five to six millimeters high, in a fresh green spring shade. A strip is the intermediate step between an individual tuft and a whole mat: it suits places where grass is to form a continuous line, that is, along a lane, by a fence, on the crest of an embankment or between tracks. Ten pieces in the box add up to a meter of grassy line.

How to work with the strips

The strips are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a thin line of glue and lay the strip into it, shortening it beforehand with scissors if needed. Never lay the strip as one piece along a long straight run; keep the joints between pieces irregular and vary the density. At the ends it helps to fray the strip slightly with your fingers so the sharp cut is not visible.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who need a continuous grassy line, and for modelers for whom an individual tuft is too small and a mat needlessly large. The strips go well with individual tufts, because the line then does not have the same height along its whole length. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
