HEKI Chestnut 18 cm, 1 pc is a mature broadleaf tree with a low-set, densely vaulted crown as a landmark for a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished model tree from the German maker HEKI, eighteen centimeters tall. The horse chestnut, commonly called a chestnut, has a dense, evenly vaulted crown set fairly low, so on a layout it looks massive and takes up more room than a poplar of the same height. That also determines its most frequent job in a scene: to shade a space and close off a view, that is, to stand where people gather.
The tree is pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With an eighteen-centimeter piece carrying a dense crown, make the hole deeper and fix the trunk with a drop of glue, otherwise the tree will lean over time under the weight of the crown. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and leave the outline of the crown slightly irregular. Add grass and low growth under the tree, or trodden earth instead if people are to stand beneath it.
For layout and diorama builders who need a massive tree as a landmark, and for modelers fine-tuning the surroundings of buildings and village greens. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
