A glue for firming up a track ballast bed and other loose stone areas. The gravel sprinkled on is dribbled with it and once dry it holds in place as a whole: it does not give under a finger, it does not shed into the track and it will take subsequent toning with paint. The name designates it as a permanent version, so reckon with the fact that a firmed-up area cannot simply be taken apart again. The package holds 250 ml.
First spread the gravel out dry and level it into its final shape with a soft brush, because once the glue is applied no adjustments are possible. Then mist the area lightly with water and dish soap, so that the grains take up moisture and the glue wicks between them instead of standing in drops on the surface. Dose the glue drop by drop with a pipette or a bottle with a fine nozzle, evenly over the whole area. Before you let the area dry, go over the space between the ties and the moving parts of turnouts, so that no grains or glue stay in them. The procedure, any thinning and the drying time are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work in smaller stretches; over a large area the glue will dry before you manage to go over the whole of it. Apply less rather than more and in several rounds; too much glue at once will run the surface together into a continuous crust and the area will lose the texture of the individual grains. Wash the tools straight after working.
