Heki static grass in a savanna shade, fibers 5 to 6 millimeters long, 75 grams in the package. For dry grassy growth on a diorama and a layout.
Responsibility details are not available.
Static grass consists of short fibers which stand up on end on an area, so that growth looks as though it were growing rather than sprinkled on. The package weighs 75 grams and the fibers are 5 to 6 millimeters. In H0 scale that corresponds to grass roughly 45 centimeters tall, in 1:35 scale to roughly twenty, so this is taller, unmown growth of the kind that grows in ditches, on field margins and on abandoned ground. The designation savanna aims at dry grassy growth, not at a spring meadow.
First coat the area with glue and apply the fibers to it from an applicator which charges them electrostatically. The fibers then stand up square and dry upright in the glue. Hold the mesh several centimeters above the area and work in smaller sections, so that the glue does not dry before you get to it. Once dry, sweep the excess away or vacuum it carefully and use it again.
Do not sprinkle one length everywhere. Real growth is uneven, so let areas thin out, combine this length with a shorter one by roads and add islands of taller tufts. Finished growth can be trimmed with scissors and combed with a dry brush, with the direction of combing following the prevailing wind in the scene. You can fine-tune the shade with a hint of paint applied from a long way off, so that the fibers do not stick together.
The package holds 75 grams of fibers 5 to 6 millimeters long. The glue, a static grass applicator and surface material are not included, unless stated otherwise.
