Heki grass foliage in a dyed version, 200 milliliters in the package. It serves to establish grassy areas quickly on a diorama and on a layout.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grassy area tends to be the largest continuous area on a diorama, and so it often decides the final impression more than the model itself. Grass foliage is a ready-made mass which establishes such an area quickly and in one step. Its quantity is given by volume, that is 200 milliliters; weight is stated only rarely with these materials, because they are light and take up a lot of room in a bag.
The most common mistake is a uniform carpet of one color from edge to edge. Real growth is uneven: by a road it tends to be trodden and thin, in a ditch taller, around a building beaten down into the soil. Let the surface show through in places, then, interrupt the area with soil, a stone or a wheel rut, and do not make the edges of the growth straight. You will unify the area in color by lightly sprinkling another tone over the finished growth, or by oversparying it from a long distance with very thin paint.
Grass masses are established into glue applied to the surface, most often into white PVA glue thinned with water and a drop of dish soap, which reduces the surface tension. Work in smaller sections, so that the glue does not dry before you apply the grass to it. Once dry, sweep the excess away or vacuum it carefully and keep it for further use. You will find the procedure the manufacturer recommends in the instructions on the packaging.
The package holds 200 milliliters of grass foliage. The glue, a surface, an applicator and the other materials of a scene are not included, unless stated otherwise.
