A strip of street with angled parking spaces in H0 scale from the Heki company, measuring 100 x 6 cm. It will fill out a square, a main avenue and the area in front of a shop.
Responsibility details are not available.
Angled parking is the mark of streets where cars were only allowed for afterwards: the vehicles stand turned toward the curb, they take up less length and it is easier to pull out of the row. On a layout or a diorama it is a detail that fixes the character of a place at once, because perpendicular and angled spaces are told apart at first glance.
The strip measures 100 x 6 cm and is prepared for H0 scale, that is 1:87. Six centimeters corresponds to a strip roughly 5.2 meters wide, which is the depth of an ordinary space with room for pulling out. A meter of length covers about 87 meters of real street in the same scale, so it will do for a whole side of a block.
Level the surface, dry it and remove the dust; unevenness under the strip will be pressed into the surface and cannot be put right later. First lay the strip in dry, check how the spaces join the roadway and the clearance profile, and only then fix it according to the manufacturer's instructions. You adjust the length and the cut-outs around curbstones, trees or entrances with a sharp knife against a steel ruler. Make the cut in two passes, so that the edge stays clean.
Fill the spaces only partly; an empty place in a row looks natural. A thin pigment deposit along the curb and darker stains where vehicles stand will give the area a used look.
The package holds the strip with spaces. Vehicles, a surface, the paints and the other accessories of scenery are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
