Responsibility details are not available.
A set of diorama accessories from the Tiger Head Models brand in 1:72 scale. According to the name it contains twelve wooden crates in three different types, four pieces of each. It is not a kit and not a model of a vehicle, but props with which the setting around a finished model is completed.
In a diorama a crate is a quiet narrator. On its own it does nothing, but by its placement it determines what is happening in the scene: stacked in a pile it means a store, open beside an aircraft it means a rearming under way, strewn around a vehicle it means haste and disorder. Three different sizes and shapes in one package make it possible to build compositions with depth, where one larger crate forms the base and the smaller ones lean against it. Modelers also often use crates purely practically, to fill empty corners of a base and to cover places where the terrain did not come out right, without anyone noticing it in the finished scene.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. In a small scale wood is painted from light to dark: a light beige or ocher base, a thin brown glaze over it that you wipe off with a cloth along the grain, and finally a dry brush in a very light tone across the edges. Separate the planks with a thin line of a darker color, not by scribing, which tends to be coarse in this scale. If you want to take a scene further, add lettering to some crates with a fine pencil or a small print of paint, but leave it illegible; in 1:72 scale sharp text would look unnatural. They are glued with super glue, and dust the lower edge with the pigment of the base.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a base or other elements of a scene. Glue, paints and figures are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
