The classic machines of the Battle of Britain are covered by 1:144 Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-3/E-4 (Hangar Edition) with decals for two French subjects.
Responsibility details are not available.
The best-known pair of Emil subversions shares one mold and differs mainly in details that the kit covers with optional parts. Inside lies a complete set for one aircraft, a color manual and Cartograf decals with two schemes from the French skies of 1940.
The earlier E-3 carried MG FF cannon in the wing and a rounded, finely framed canopy. The E-4 received the modified MG FF/M weapon, able to fire mine shell ammunition, and a more angular canopy with a higher proportion of metal, to which armor behind the pilot's head was added. The difference is small but immediately visible on a model.
The first scheme belongs to the E-4 of Oberleutnant Gerhard Schöpfel of 9./JG 26, France, August 1940. The second belongs to the E-3 of Leutnant Paul Temme of I./JG 2, France, May 1940.
Choose the subversion at the very start, because the canopy and the armament are glued on early. Spray the yellow recognition panels on the cowling and the rudder over a white base, or they will look dirty. A spinner without blades is available for an in-flight pose, and the landing gear can be built in either state.
The contents are unpainted plastic parts. Do not look for finishes or glue in the package.
