A figure of a Ukrainian soldier in 1:35 scale on a sniper theme from 2022.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set carries the theme of a sniper and refers to the well-known motto one shot, one kill. A sniper's work consists by far the most in waiting: in looking for a firing position, in building a hide and in patient observation, while the shot itself takes an instant. Figures with this theme therefore usually live and die by the surroundings a modeler builds around them.
The package contains a figure of a Ukrainian soldier in 1:35 scale in an unpainted version. Before building it pays to assemble the parts dry, to check the seating surfaces and to think through how the figure will be seated in the scene.
A sniper suits muted coloring. The uniform is best built from a medium tone, with the patches of the pattern painted in with a thin brush and the contrast knocked back by a final glaze, so that the figure does not look like something out of a box but like someone trying to disappear into the terrain. The face remains the main carrier of expression, so it is painted separately and fitted only onto a finished body. Dust and dry grass on the elbows, knees and boots will settle the whole into its setting.
The figure is suitable for dioramas from a modern battlefield, for models of equipment in 1:35 scale and as a piece of work in its own right on painting a figure and the surrounding terrain, where there is scope to play with grass and rubble. The package contains only the figure. A base, terrain material, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
