A made or a rumpled bed is legible in a scene at once. It says that a room was lived in, and from how the bedding is arranged it is even possible to suggest whether the occupants left calmly or in haste. In a military diorama such a piece of furniture will find a use in a ruin, in an occupied house and in an improvised billet.
According to the name it is a large family bed, a mattress and two pillows in 1:35 scale. The mattress and the pillows are separate, so you can choose whether to lay them neatly in place or to leave them slipped and give the scene movement.
Put the assembly together dry first and think through the position of the mattress and the pillows. You will imitate cloth by applying a very thin dark glaze over a light base: it runs into the folds and the surface looks soft. Then blend the sharp transitions, because textile has neither a metallic sheen nor sharp edges. The frame of the bed, by contrast, will take the edges being brought out with a lighter shade and light scuffing in the places where a hand rubs the furniture most. A fine dust of light pigment belongs on the horizontal surfaces. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the procedure of gluing and preparing the parts.
The set is for builders of dioramas who are adding a civilian interior to equipment and figures. Figures, paints, glue and a diorama base are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
