The Javelin anti-tank missile system in 1:35 scale, a set of four pieces for figures and dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Javelin is an American portable anti-tank missile system, designated FGM-148. The operator carries it on the shoulder, the missile is housed in a launch container and the guidance unit is reused. It works on the fire-and-forget principle, so the gunner can move away immediately after launching. A soft launch allows it to be fired even from an enclosed space, and the missile attacks the target from above, that is into the thinnest part of the armor. It is exactly these properties that have made it a weapon which even someone outside the field recognizes today.
According to the name it is four pieces in 1:35 scale. The set is an accessory to figures and equipment; on its own it does not make up a model.
The parts are small, so work with them using tweezers and degrease the surface before painting. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for preparation and gluing. Choose consistently matte paints, as a sheen on such a weapon looks false. Bring the edges and protrusions out lightly with a lighter shade, so that the shape is not lost in a display case, and add only restrained dust. If you are placing the system in the hands of a figure, check the position of the shoulder and arms before gluing, or the angle is hard to correct.
The set is for modelers who build infantry figures and present-day dioramas. Figures, a model, paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
