Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of the cockpit, the cabin windows and the wheel hubs of the Mi-8T and Mi-8MT helicopter in 1:72 scale. They correspond in shape to the Zvezda kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mil Mi-8 is a Soviet transport helicopter that became one of the most widespread machines of its class and flies to this day in many countries. The Mi-8T version belongs to the older line, while the Mi-8MT is a later variant with a more powerful engine installation. Both have heavily divided glazing of the cockpit, a row of windows in the cargo compartment and fixed landing gear with wheels, so masking before painting takes a lot of time.
The set consists of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of the cockpit, for the cabin windows and for the wheel hubs. The cuts correspond to the shape of the parts of the Zvezda kits in 1:72 scale.
Wash the glazing and let it dry thoroughly. Take the masks off with tweezers, settle them dry and press them down around the perimeter, so that paint does not run under the edge. With the windows in the fuselage, sort out the order in advance and proceed one piece at a time, so that the row stays regular. Paint in thin coats and take the masks off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch. An over-dried heavy application tears when the masks are removed and the edge of the frame then looks frayed.
The set will help anyone who builds the Mi-8T or the Mi-8MT in 1:72 scale and wants sharp frames of the glazing and cleanly separated wheel hubs. The package contains only masks; the model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
