A gift set of two injection-molded plastic kits in 1:144 scale from Revell. In one box you will find two separate models: the large Airbus A400M Atlas transport aircraft and the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft. The set commemorates the Air Defender international air exercise and contains decals for both aircraft as well as accessory parts. It is a more demanding kit recommended for more experienced modelers.
The Airbus A400M Atlas is a modern four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft used to carry troops, equipment and materiel and for airdrop work. The Panavia Tornado is a supersonic combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, operated in strike and reconnaissance versions. Both aircraft form the backbone of European air forces and in this set they represent machines from a large international exercise.
Use thin cement for plastic and build the two models separately in sub-assemblies. Given the difference in size, plan the work separately for the large Atlas and for the smaller Tornado. Apply a primer before painting and lay the colors down with an airbrush; it is worth masking the cockpit glazing and gluing the Tornado external stores only after the base coat. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat compatible with the paint used.
The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
