An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.I fighter in 1:144 scale from Zvezda. It is a snap-fit model whose parts can be joined without glue, with a small parts count and a display stand in the box. Thanks to the small 1:144 scale and the simple build it makes an ideal quick project, an addition to a collection of Battle of Britain aircraft and a good piece for tabletop games.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter and, together with the Spitfire, the main defender of Britain during the Battle of Britain in 1940. The Mk.I version was the first production variant, with the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine and eight machine guns in the wings. The Hurricane shot down more enemy aircraft than any other type in the Battle of Britain and became famous for its rugged structure and reliability.
The model is snap-fit, so you can manage the basic assembly without glue; for a firmer joint we nevertheless recommend a drop of liquid cement for plastic. The parts are small, so work carefully. Painting is not strictly necessary, but it greatly improves the impression: an airbrush over a primer is ideal. The typical finish is the British brown and green camouflage with a light underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
