A sizeable plastic kit of the American main battle tank M1A2 SEP Abrams in the large 1:16 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The model has hundreds of parts, individual track links and photo-etched parts. The finished model reaches a length of over 60 cm and is an impressive representative piece.
The M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Package) is the modernized version of the American tank M1 Abrams with improved electronics, sensors and fire control. The Abrams ranks among the most widespread western main battle tanks, it is powered by a gas turbine and its main armament is a gun of 120 mm caliber. In the SEP version it serves with the American army all over the world.
The large scale rewards careful work on the running gear, the tracks and the fittings of the hull. Assemble the running gear before the hull is closed up, use a thin cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Use a primer and an airbrush; the extensive surfaces are ideal for color modulation and dust weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
