This set of the LööK line from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings two key features to the cockpit of a large aircraft model in 1:24 scale: a color photo-etched steel instrument panel with realistic depth of the instruments and pre-printed steel seat belts. The panel is finished in faithful colors including the dials, so laborious hand painting of the gauges is not needed. It is an aftermarket accessory, not an airplane kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-5 belonged to the Gustav family, the most widespread variant of this German fighter of the Second World War. The G-5 sub-version was marked by a pressurized cockpit and was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V12 engine. A detailed cockpit stands out above all in the large 1:24 scale, where the interior is clearly visible.
The panel and the belts are self-adhesive. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and degrease the surfaces before gluing. For a firmer bond a small amount of cyanoacrylate or a special photo-etch glue can be used. We recommend darkening the edges finely and a light matte varnish to unify the surface.
This is a detail accessory for the matching kit in 1:24 scale; the airplane model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
