Under this item you will find standalone underwing armament in 1:32 scale, not a model of an aircraft. It serves so that a large model carries missiles of matching shape and proportions. The manufacturer has long concentrated on this narrow specialization and offers it as an accessory to projects under construction.
The AIM-9E arose through the reworking of older rounds for the needs of the US Air Force. The key change was a thermoelectrically cooled seeker, thanks to which the missile picked up a target at a greater distance and was harder to confuse with its surroundings. The nose is longer and slimmer than in the original version, which is the most conspicuous external mark of the whole variant. It was used above all on fighters engaged in the fighting over Southeast Asia and it stayed in service long afterwards.
The thin surfaces of the fins are the most vulnerable part of the whole set, so handle the parts over a soft pad. Apply the primer in a very thin coat, otherwise it will fill the sharp edges and the missile will needlessly thicken. Before fitting, try dry whether the external store does not clash with the landing gear doors or with a tank. Finally unify the gloss of the whole model, so that the accessory does not look like an alien element.
The set comes without a finish, so reckon on your own paints and glue.
