The outboard AERO-3B pylon for the AIM-9B missile for the F-105 Thunderchief in 1:32 scale is a resin 3D printed accessory by Reskit for a finished aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set by Reskit holds the outboard wing pylon with the AERO-3B launch rail, on which the AIM-9B Sidewinder missile was hung on the F-105 Thunderchief. It is a resin 3D printed accessory that is fitted onto a finished aircraft model. Printing handles the thin profiles of the rail and the small details of the attachment better than injection-molded plastic, so the store looks slender and faithful on a model.
The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was a single-engined supersonic fighter-bomber of American manufacture, deployed above all in Southeast Asia. Besides its main strike armament on the centerline and inboard stations, it carried air-to-air missiles on the outboard pylons for its own defense. AERO-3B is the designation of the launch rail for the early versions of the Sidewinder, among which the AIM-9B belongs.
Wash the part in lukewarm water with detergent so that the remains of print resin come off. Cut the print supports away with a fine saw or a sharp knife as close to the part as possible and level the mark with a file; hold the thin parts of the rail as you work so that they do not break off. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, dosed with a pin on small parts. Apply a primer before painting and paint the pylon separately from the wing, as you then reach its sides more easily.
