This set of air intakes, landing gear with wheel bays and weighted wheels is an extensive accessory set in 1:32 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Reskit, a specialist in resin and 3D-printed accessories. It is designed for the F-105 Thunderchief kit by Trumpeter and replaces several assemblies of the base kit at once: the air intakes, the complete landing gear, the wheel bays and the wheels with tires flattened under the weight of the aircraft. It is not a model of the aircraft; the base kit is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Republic F-105 Thunderchief, known among its crews by the nickname Thud, was an American single-seat single-engine supersonic fighter-bomber. It was among the largest and heaviest single-engine combat aircraft of its day and one of the few with an internal bomb bay. It became famous in the Vietnam War, where it formed the backbone of strike operations against ground targets; modified versions later gave rise to machines for suppressing air defenses. A characteristic feature was the swept wing-root intakes, and it is precisely those that this set refines.
