Decals in 1:32 for the Junkers Ju 88A-1 with three aircraft of the KG 51, LG 1 and KG 30 combat wings from the French summer of 1940.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 88A-1 was designed as a fast bomber meant to escape enemy fighters simply by outrunning them. The requirement for dive attacks, however, added dive brakes, a strengthened structure and with them extra weight. Even so it became the most versatile German bomber of the war, one that later appeared in reconnaissance, night fighter and ground attack forms.
The letter codes offered here refer to specific aircraft from the summer of 1940 over France. The code 9K plus HS belongs to KG 51, L1 plus ER to LG 1 and 4D plus DC comes from the staff flight of the third group of KG 30. All three machines carry the standard scheme of the period, with the dark shades RLM 70 and RLM 71 on the upper surfaces and light blue RLM 65 underneath.
The Ju 88 has a long glazed nose and a lot of panel lines, so a decal softener helps with every larger motif. Apply the markings only over a fully cured finish and let the model rest between the individual steps so that the film does not slide. Choose the final coat of varnish according to whether you want a freshly delivered machine or one worn by service. Anyone who wants an aircraft after several weeks of operations can darken the lower surfaces with exhaust soot. The package contains decals without a model.
