Quinta Studio 1:32 Magenta rib tapes for the Fokker Dr.I and D.VII is a set of color 3D decals that faithfully imitates, on fabric covering, the magenta tapes doped over the ribs of the wings and the fuselage.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the manufacturer Quinta Studio contains color 3D decals imitating the so-called rib tapes in a magenta shade. On real aircraft of the First World War these tapes were glued over the stitching of the ribs on the fabric covering and were clearly visible. The set is universal and suits models of the German Fokker Dr.I triplane as well as the Fokker D.VII biplane in 1:32 scale.
The tapes are released in warm water like classic decals and laid directly onto the covering of the wings, the fuselage and the tail surfaces. Because 3D decals are thicker than ordinary ones, it is advisable to seat them with a gloss varnish or a water-based glue and then to flatten the surface down. The result is a three-dimensional relief of the tapes, which would be hard to achieve with masks and paint.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not the model itself. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
