What the Set Adds

The tail rotor is one of a helicopter's most visually prominent parts. 3D printing allows thin blades and fine hub detail that injection-molded plastic can barely achieve in 1:48 scale. Replacing the kit part with a more accurate resin rotor noticeably lifts the finished model's level.

Building Tips

• Wash the parts with warm water and dish soap and let them dry.
• Cut off the print blocks with a sharp knife; handle the thin blades carefully.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue) — ordinary plastic cement does not hold on resin.
• Apply a primer before painting; wear respiratory protection and ventilate when sanding resin.
