The set is an interior accessory, not an aircraft kit. It is built into a part-built model of the French Mirage 2000 combat aircraft in the N version and replaces its cockpit. In the large 1:32 scale the interior is the first thing a viewer notices with the canopy open, so a more detailed cockpit has an above-average effect on the overall impression the model makes.
The Mirage 2000N is the two-seat strike version of the French delta fighter, designed to reach its target at low level. It differs from the fighter versions in its terrain-following equipment and in the layout of the station for the second crew member, who takes care of navigation and of operating the systems. The fuselage is strengthened for flight in the turbulent layer near the ground and the cockpit has a tandem layout with two seats one behind the other, which makes it a markedly different space from the single-seat version.
Finish and paint the interior before you close the fuselage halves. Add a dry brush to the dark base shade to draw out the edges and the raised fittings, along with dots of color on the switches and indicator lights. Leave the straps and the small controls for last so that they do not get rubbed during further work. Test the fit in the fuselage dry, level any overhang by sanding with your airways protected, and only then fix the joint.
