This is an aftermarket detail set, not an aircraft kit. It contains resin, 3D-printed parts of the rear cargo bay of the twin-engine observation and light attack aircraft OV-10D Bronco in 1:32 scale. The set is intended for fitting into a plastic model and it opens up a view into a space that kit manufacturers usually handle with no more than a suggestion.

What the set solves

The Bronco was designed to handle a wide range of duties, and its rear bay could carry cargo, paratroopers or stretchers. It is exactly this part that will markedly bring the model to life: the parts capture the internal structure, the lining and the equipment of the bay with the sharpness that 3D printing allows. The detailed rendering comes into its own above all on a build with the doors open or in a diorama.

Use and fitting

• First wash the parts to remove print resin residue and let them dry.
• Carefully separate the casting blocks and the supports and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), or spot-bond with epoxy.
• For the greatest effect, bring out the depth of the bay with washes and a dry brush.
