1:32 US Air-to-Air Missile Markings AIM-9B/D/G/J/L/M

Two Bobs 1:32 markings for American AIM-9B/D/G/J/L/M air-to-air missiles

A set of waterslide decals in 1:32 scale from the maker Two Bobs. The sheet brings markings and technical lettering for the whole range of American AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles in the B, D, G, J, L and M versions. It serves to finish models of missiles and underwing armament; it is not a model.

The real subject

The AIM-9 Sidewinder is an infrared-guided short-range air-to-air missile, one of the most widespread of its kind. The individual versions differed in guidance, in range and in the small markings that are often overlooked on models.

Use and tips

Apply the decals onto smooth gloss clear. Given the large 1:32 scale, even small lettering stands out, so work carefully and use a decal softener to settle them into the detail. Once dry, go over them with a final clear coat.

Who the set is for

• Builders of models in 1:32 scale who want faithful underwing armament
• Modelers of modern and historic American fighters
• Those interested in accurate markings for Sidewinder missiles

This is a decal sheet, not a kit. Neither missile models nor paints are included in the package.
