This basic photo-etched set (the second part) serves to improve the detail of plastic models of the German BR 52 war locomotive in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the locomotive but an extensive accessory that replaces and refines a whole range of plastic parts with etched components. The basic model is not included in the package.
Photo-etch brings thin elements that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic: walkways, handrails, covers, grilles, clips and other fine details of this large locomotive. As a basic set it covers a larger part of the build, unlike narrowly focused partial sets. The accessory is designed for the Trumpeter 00210 kit.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or two-part epoxy. On a large model it pays to work section by section. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with primer.
This is a detail set, not a model. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
