Responsibility details are not available.
The Chevrolet C15TA is a Canadian armored truck of the Second World War period. It was created on the chassis of a military Chevrolet with drive on all four wheels and received an angular armored body with rear doors. It was used mainly to carry supplies and troops into areas under fire and to evacuate the wounded, meaning where an ordinary canvas-covered truck no longer offered any protection. It appeared in the inventory of Allied units in the final part of the war and served after it as well.
It is a plastic kit of the vehicle in 1:35 scale from IBG. The model is built around the angular body, which is what defines the real vehicle, and around a broken-up chassis with large-diameter wheels. Details of the contents of the box and of the range of color markings are given in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
Separate the parts from the sprues with nippers and level the sprue gate remains with a file or sandpaper. It is a good idea to assemble and paint the chassis before the body is fitted, because later a brush reaches it only with difficulty. On an angular vehicle, uneven dirt on the underside and chipping on the edges come out well. Leave the wheels until the end, as they are easier to paint separately.
The kit suits a modeler who enjoys rear-area equipment and wants to add a vehicle beside their armor that is not often seen at exhibitions. It also serves well as a striking element in a diorama. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and neither paints nor glue are included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
