A resin figure set, German Motorcycle Crew, in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Mantis Miniatures - the crew of a Wehrmacht military motorcycle for advanced modelers to finish by brush and set into a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure set of a German motorcycle crew from the period of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mantis Miniatures. The set is cast in quality resin and is intended to be glued, finished by brush and added to a model of a motorcycle or to a diorama. Work with resin presupposes more advanced modeling skills.
Motorcycles, often with a sidecar, were among the typical transport and communication vehicles of the German army. Dispatch riders and reconnaissance units used them for rapid movement and for delivering orders. Figures of a crew will turn a motorcycle model into a living scene and help set the vehicle in context.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is practical to paint the figure before the final assembly; a primer, shaded layers of acrylic or oil paint and bringing out the face and the uniform with glazing and a dry brush all prove their worth.
The figures are supplied unpainted and cast in resin, intended to be glued and finished by brush. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
